Stainless Steel Plastic-lined Pipes
This workshop specializes in the production of stainless steel-lined pipes, handling diameters from 2 to 48 inches. The core process focuses on the precise mechanical bonding of a corrosion-resistant stainless steel liner inside a host pipe. Utilizing the hydraulic expansion technique as the key technology, we provide complete solutions for the entire production sequence—including precision machining of components, liner insertion, controlled hydraulic expansion for bonding, end finishing, and final testing. Our line ensures medium-to-high volume output of hybrid pipe systems that reliably combine the structural strength of the outer pipe with the superior corrosion, abrasion, and contamination resistance of the internal stainless steel liner, designed for demanding service in oil & gas, chemical, and high-purity applications.

Manufacturing Process of Stainless Steel-Lined Pipe
The manufacturing of stainless steel-lined pipe involves mechanically bonding a corrosion-resistant stainless steel liner inside a carbon or alloy steel outer pipe. The process begins with precision machining and cleaning of both the host pipe's interior and the liner's exterior. The liner, typically made of grades like 304 or 316L stainless steel, is then inserted.
The key bonding step is achieved through a controlled hydraulic expansion process, where high-pressure fluid radially expands the liner against the host pipe's inner wall, creating a permanent mechanical fit. The ends are then finished, often by welding, to create a sealed, hybrid pipe system that combines the structural strength and cost-effectiveness of carbon steel with the superior corrosion and contamination resistance of stainless steel for critical fluid transport.
